Scots, wha hae wi' Wallace bled,
Scots, wham Bruce has aften led,
Welcome to your gory bed,
Or to victorie.

Now's the day, and now's the hour;
See the front o' battle lour;
See approach proud Edward's power,
Chains and slaverie.

Wha would be a traitor-knave?
Wha can fill a coward's grave?
Wha sae base as be a Slave?
Let him turn and flie:

Wha for Scotland's king and law,
Freedom's sword will strongly draw,
Free-man stand, or free-man fa',
Let him follow me.

By Oppression's woes and pains!
By your Sons in servile chains!
We will drain our dearest veins,
But they shall be free!

Lay the proud Usurpers low!
Tyrants fall in every foe!
Liberty's in every blow!
Let us Do - or Die!!!

I think this makes an English Parliament inevitable now. Every time nationalism raises its head on one side of the border, it amplifies on the other. I see the the English Democrats are fielding 120 candidates now, and they're getting increasing coverage here.

Does that mean RedMike won?

If not it was most likely a captialist plot to thwart the people ... or, the Americans screwed him .. again.

Mike's an SSP man, though - and it looks like the SNP are drifting to the right faster than any party bar Sinn Fein.

are Sinn Fein moving right or simply betraying their nationalistic heritage?
i wouldn't think that moving away from nationalist demands is necessarily the same thing as moving to the right.
😕

Its nice to know that journalists in other countries don't even pretend to be objective either.

I think Chris means that the change of government happens after the election.

The statemement by the paper was today - before the election - supporting one possible outcome after the election.

This isn't an individual journalist - this is the paper's editorial position.

But no, our journalists often don't even pretend either

As is taking donations from dodgy, right-wing business people.

But they have some good people, including Chris S, and I hope they do well.
