Protesters storm Swedish embassy in Iraq over Quran burning plan
Iraqi security forces dispersed hundreds of demonstrators who stormed the main gates of the Swedish embassy in the Iraqi capital of Baghdad, in response to police in Stockholm sanctioning another planned burning of the Muslim holy book, the Quran.
Videos posted on social media showed a large number of protesters inside the Swedish embassy’s perimeter as well as black smoke and fire coming from the building.
Security forces armed with electric batons chased protestors and used water cannons to disperse them and put out the fire, a security source told CNN.
Eyewitnesses told CNN that the protesters withdrew from the perimeter of the Swedish Embassy after setting part of it on fire “after delivering their message of protest against the act of burning the Holy Book of God.”
This comes just a day after Iraq expelled the Swedish ambassador over allowing a second demonstration involving burning a Koran. The first happened in Sweden, the second, though it was sanctioned, never took place.
Critics of Sweden say they're allowing hate speech; others say it's freedom of speech.
One does not rule the other out.
If you burn the Koran because your house is cold and heating is too expensive, or you burn it along with other religious books, to show that you don’t believe in Gods, then it’s only a percieved hatred on the side of the religious zealots who can’t think further than headscarving women and chopping off foreskins.
On the other hand, like in Sweden, it’s the extreme right (neo nazis) burning the koran, to provocate and spew forth their WASP agenda… then the hatred is real.
But it’s still free speech… of sorts…
However, free speech is only free in so far that the state can’t prosecute you for your beliefs. And it’s generally trumped by anti-hate and anti-discrimination laws.
Why the hell burn a koran in public, when you know it gets religious knickers in a twist? It’s a clear message your sending.
Why the Swedish government would allow it, is beyond me.
That being said, the extremely religious moslims, Jews, Christians, Hindus of this world are all a bunch of whining pigs. God
Damn. They should trust their Gods to take appropriate action, instead of getting themselves all worked up about nothing.
Would Swedes storm the Iraqi embassy if people in Iraq burned Bibles in public? I don’t think so.
Muslims have to accept the concept of jurisdiction: What’s a crime in a Muslim country isn’t elsewhere. Same issue as banning Salman Rushdie’s novel: applies only in Muslim countries.
No one has a right not to be offended.
@moonbus saidMuslims, wherever they are, do not decide how to run the our country - Swedish laws do not apply in other places but they do in Sweden.

To have freedom OF religion also means we have to have freedom FROM religion and I have thought that for DECADES, those so-called religions have ZERO to do with an actual god, they don't care if it exists or not since ALL those religions are 100% man made and the latest examples are Hubbard and ''Scientology'' or take Rasifari, a religion based on Sellassi. The rest of them originated far in the past so the more time goes by the less we are able to prove no god was involved in the origination of those religions.
All those religions show is taking advantage of the fact the common folk are not well educated and get fearful a god is attacking them when thunder hits and those religions will never say, hey that is lightning and it is powerful in itself and just know we figured that out with science. They will NEVER say anything like that because the LOT of them go GODDIDIT, no matter what the calamity, he is TESTING us.
Notice it is almost ALWAYS a 'HE' as if some 5th dimensional god would require sex to what, reproduce?
@sonhouse saidSounds like the greenies and their greenie religion.

@vivify saidThe problem with freedom of speech or expression occurs when what is said or done doesn't agree with our own views. "I do not agree with what you have to say, but I’ll defend to the death your right to say it." (Voltaire)

Shag Doody:
"Why the Swedish government would allow it, is beyond me."
He wants to be free to be a shag doody, uncensored but when someone else does it he wants the force of the state to censor and punish, not with mean words, no no no, with guns, because at the end of every regulation, at the end of all censorship is a man with a gun, or in the case of the muzzie lunatics a man with a sword.
It's not that the Swedish goobermint allows it shag doody, it's that people have a right to burn their own koran, their own bible, their own manifesto of the communist party. That is a right.
No surprises that you're here advocating for the stomping of rights, shag doody a long time state worshipper, who sucks on the state teat, who thinks it's ok for him to hate and (attempt) to cause offence, who thinks he has some kind of majic superior powers.
Message for shag doody for brains: It doesn't matter if they burn it because they hate the koran, or they burn it as a joke. You don't possess a special device that measures hate, that some how your hate comes in at a lower level on some arbitrary scale, while those that burnt the koran, or even talked about burning the koran are to be punished and censored.
We understand that often you're just trying to be naughty or edgy, but occasionally the real shag is exposed, a totalitarian, state worshipping authoritarian.

@wajoma saidThey do nit have a right to project hatred.

Inaccordance with international treaties and State laws.
Moron.
Leave serious opinions to adults who don’t fukk koalas.
@shavixmir saidHate is a legitimate response to those who seek to control what can and cannot be said, how one can and cannot say it. While threatening physical harm and even death. Those people have earned the hate, you, shag doody have earned the hate with your comments here.

Hate is not only legitimate it is almost an obligation, hate those that want to control what you can say and how you express yourself.
Raping koalas is nothing compared to you bending over to be reamed by the muslim censors, then gobbling your own ass juice off their dicks.
@wajoma saidSorry for you, but hate and incitement to hate are illegal in most countries.

Pity your retarded views are not shared by the educated planet.
@shavixmir saidOh yeah, what countries is it illegal to burn a koran? Then we'll discover something about the Pseud Known as Shag Doody and who he aligns his ideology with. We'll discover who The Pseud Known as Shag Doody thinks is 'educated'.

Here's the first hit shag doody:
"Intentionally desecrating a copy of the Quran is punishable by imprisonment in some countries and could lead to a death sentence in Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Somalia and Pakistan, or up to life imprisonment in Pakistan, according to Article 295-B of the Penal Code.
Then we'll find the gulags and worse, then we'll find the bodies of people that expressed a hatred of their goobermint acting in the name of stone age religious censors, the bodies of people beaten and stoned to death, then we'll find shag doody bent over with his dress pulled up above his hips. And then we'll find shag doody appeasing "C'mon guys, it's illegal to hate, you should be punished and if you hate your punishment you'll receive more punishment."
You know what that horrible bitter taste in your mouth is shag doody. Your own shyte, the very shyte you post here day after day.
