For Mexican cartels, marijuana is still gold
...
CORRE COYOTE, Mexico — Times are good for the dope growers of the western Sierra Madre mountains. The army eradication squads that once hacked at the illicit marijuana fields have been diverted by the drug war that's raging elsewhere in Mexico .

The FoxNews article is worth reading as case study in biased "reporting”…
Step 1) Say what some liberals are doing. 2) Have a supposedly credible source describe it as a sham, or in this case, "a stunt." 3) Pose a concise conservative talking point and attribute it to some anonymous "critics." 4) Ignore the obvious liberal rebuttal to 3 and hope that nobody notices that the source in 2 has a really eugenics-y sounding name.
Seriously! "Californians for Population Stabilization"?!?! Let's hope that their JUST an anti-immigration group! Also, the obvious reply to the point the article makes about wages is that Americans don't want to pay the full cost of a head of lettuce. Ironically, if you take this criticism to its logical conclusion, it makes for a great pro-union, pro-regulation argument against dogmatic free-market ideology.
…The formula for biased “reporting” can substitute any ideology and gets used across the board. FoxNews has made it into an art.
