Do they fight each other?
I assumed they were allies with a common goal.

If they do start fighting, that will be a good thing.

The Taliban are nationalists who do not recognize ISIS’ self proclaimed Caliphate…and they probably resent how Al Qaeda led to them being invaded by the USA

I assumed Muslim extremists were all on the same page.

If they fight each other it could be contained, which is good.

The taliban and IS are not allies, though they have a common enemy (infidels). The Taliban do nothing to please America; they pursue their own agenda.
