The incoming tariff on tomatoes from Mexico......It would mean good news for our farmers. US growers say there is a problem, as mex tomatoes are cheap. We NEED a tariff. It is going to help the growers, NOT passed on to consumers. It kicks in on Monday, and our growers will be back on level ground.
This is the work of Trump. It took a few weeks, but in the end, t ...[text shortened]... lot of negative comments about the plans of Trump. This was a good plan. What will tomorrow hold.
So you pick one item that actually IS grown here. Try that with bananas or Mango's.

There is an MIT professor sums up the way you deal with conspiracy theories:

MIT Sloan professor David Rand. “The state of play has been that people are motivated to ignore evidence because these beliefs fulfill some psychological need.”

We give you plenty of evidence about just how bad tariffs are and you go SEE HOW TOMATO farmers here will get a boost.

Ignoring car parts that will have tariffs that drives up the prices of AMERICAN cars even though Trump THINKS (one problem about trump BTW, he doesn't ever THINK) he is 1: making FOREIGN government pay tariffs, just reiterated that BS TODAY and YOU KNOW who pays tariffs, too bad you can't tell that to Trump.

We have been through this crap before.

"The Smoot-Hawley Tariff Act, officially known as the Tariff Act of 1930, is widely considered to have worsened the Great Depression. This protectionist measure significantly increased tariffs on over 20,000 imported goods. While intended to protect American industries, it led to retaliatory tariffs from other nations, severely damaging global trade and deepening the economic downturn."

And you, AGAIN ignoring evidence goes THAT WAS THEN THIS IS DIFFERENT NOW.
NO it isn't. People will pay more because you KNOW WE pay the fking tariffs. The same thing is ALREADY happening here, RETALIATORY tariffs. You really think THAT is a good thing?

That means JUST LIKE IT DID IN 1930 where THEY had less money at one of the worse economic times in US history leading to business closing, losing jobs and deepening the depression.
WE are going to pay for the tariffs in raised prices and you think that will be GREAT.
It is NOT great, that was PROVEN by the utter stupidity of the Smoot/Hawley bill.
Funny, we have now TWO idiot Hawleys in congress, past and present.

US growers need to be able to make a deal.

You mean to tell me with all the technology US growers have access to, that they can't outproduce Mexican growers? Maybe they could learn to make a bit less profit to sell more of their product? Tariffs aren't the answer. Tariffs are a cheat. This is the way the world burns, countries trying to out-tariff each other. Meanwhile, people starve.

But here you are, proud of his cheating. Disgusting, and very, very short-sighted. Admit it, you didn't even know what a tariff was before Trump started this nonsense.
