@jj-adams saidTell us again how you manage to pick one incident out of hundreds of millions and present it here as if it were business as usual in Canada. I live near the Canadian border and don't see Canadians lining up at the checkpoints, trying to get into America because of our marvelous healthcare system (or anything else here for that matter) But I guess we're not supposed to talk about that - - are we?

I'm actually at the clinic right now.
Torn tendon in my shoulder with shoulder impingement and my usual 90 day checkup for blood pressure.
They are going to refer me to a shoulder specialist.
The place is packed, no seats left and people clogging up the line with minor ailments because they don't have to pay.
If they had to pay they wouldn't be here and our medical whatever wouldn't be overrun.
Been here almost 2 hours waiting for a checkup/referral.
Not one physician is white.
All Arabs.
We pay 15 percent tax on EVERYTHING so we can have this failed medical system.
The idea that it is free is laughable because we pay so much in taxes.
I think people should be limited on how many visits they can have. We have old people clogging up the system just because they want some attention.
While waiting I saw a high school girl come in because her ankle is sore. She walked in fine but she feels she needs to waste the doctors time and he'll say...rest your ankle.
Another old guy in line said his ear is blocked with water.
What kind of retarded people go to the clinic or hospital for a slightly sore ankle or water in the ear?
That's why Canada has failed with this so called "free" healthcare...it allows idiots who don't need any care to clog up the system.
They still get a spot and the doctors still have to see them even if they just need to be told to quit being a baby...go home... don't come here unless you really need to.
@mchill saidNo just every immigrant worldwide.

We suffer from that too.
@booger saidThankyou SO much for getting this on the Forum. Problem is, when an undeniable point is made which wrankles libs, they simply disappear.

eg, every time I mention self-reliance, which I just did on a post, they do not respond. They will not respond to this post. This is why I say Libs dont answer questions. Now a lib will come back with 'You didn't ask a question'! ( on this post).
Yes I could scream. djavu all over again. ( I misspelled that to give them something to piss about).
@AverageJoe1
The Canadian medical system would be great if they were willing to chastise people who go there with minor problems or problems a doctor can't fix.
@booger saidWhy the hell are you clogging up the doctor’s every 90 days to have your bloody blood pressure measured.

Buy your own monitor (couple of bucks) and mail him the bloody results.
Wasting precious time, you are!
@shavixmir
I have to go there to get my meds you dolt. I'm not at a stage where my meds for blood pressure are permanent. They test me every time. Trust me, I've asked to avoid the doctors and just get my prescription refills but they seem to think I won't need the blood pressure meds much longer due to my age.
I also had to get the referral from the doctor so I can see a shoulder specialist.
@booger saidgreat idea buddy. people should self-diagnose at home.

Also, we should try and fix our own pipes first before calling a plumber and touch some live wires to see if they are really worth calling an electrician over.
@zahlanzi saidI can do all of that work myself.

I've done it.
It's a shame you're not man enough to do it.

You're old enough to know mom's remedies are just as good as what a doctor can do when it's the common ailments.
You don't know what it is. You don't know they are clogging the system. You're not a damn doctor. People ignore symptoms all the time because "it's nothing" and then they get slapped with a much more serious diagnostic later on. We call those irresponsbile.
There are however some who don;'t go to the doctor until it is too late because they can't afford a visit. We call those americans.
"You're old enough to know mom's remedies are just as good as what a doctor can do when it's the common ailments."
You don't know it';s a common ailment, you're not a doctor. Everytime you take "mom's remedies" you are gambling it's gonna work. When it doesn't you go to the doctor only then it might be something more serious.
You prejudiced ashole didn't know those people who "are clogging up the system" tried "mom's remedies" or not. You just came here to whine about a problem you created in your head so you have something to whine about. Including covering some of the racist boxes on "I'm an ashole" bingo card like "none of the doctors were white"
