I doubt you understand what I am talking about. Maybe you’re just too old.

Phil, if you have such a miserable existence that you resort to stalking me around the forums and trying to turn everything I say into a insult contest, don't bother. I really could not be bothered with anything you have to say or with you. You are a joke...

But at least i know i get under your skin. That pleases me no end...

Whatever your age maybe you have consistently presented yourself here as an example of the uncouth self-satisfied ignoramus typical of your 'culture' downunder.

You know nothing about my culture. As for every opinion you express on these forums, it is simply derived from what you see on television.

I have recently come across a theory that has intrigued me lately. That theory is that everything, from the start of the universe (the big bang) to human development, has a tendency towards complexity. Meaning that everything is on a path to a higher level of complexity and that the path of this complexity is to end in one "ultimate complexity".

Firstly ...[text shortened]... theory has truth to it?

Secondly could "God" be a representation of ultimate complexity?
Do you have a link for this? It seems to be in direct contradiction with the Second Law of Thermodynamics.

You can look here:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Complexity#Specific_meanings

It doesn't mean that we can't understand something. It has several definite definitions depending on the field of science using the word.

I had a look for an article online but there is none. I read it in a book.

This is well known in biology. It remains safely not in contradiction to the 2nd law, because it requires the direct input of energy, from the sun.

Is there a name for this phenomenon that I can look up?

It does if you agree with Spinoza.

I'm sure you've got a better one right up your sleeve.

Where did you read it?

Have you read about Terence McKenna's "Transcendental Object At The End Of Time"?

I guess something along the lines of "self-organising theory" might be as close as you'd get. There is no specific name for it, as far as I'm aware - it's merely the study of complex systems....

Haven’t read it. Is it any good?

I can't remember the author, but the title was "The Hidden Connections" or something like that.
