    the same as Scotland (or Ireland without the oil revenues, afaik).

    under the defense umbrella but not paying for it. and not paying for bureaucracies in those states where they tend to congregate. etc., etc., etc.

    Texas wouldn't last 2 weeks without the federal money pouring into the defense industries. Only California builds more bombs and planes than Texas. Aside from bombs and planes what else is built in America?
