Some people have said that Heaven is the best of all possible places, that your every wish there would come true (no evil wishes because otherwise you wouldn't be there in the first place, presumably). Well suppose one of your friends/relatives is in Hell, and you want them to be with you in Heaven. Is this an impossible situation, or would you be denied your wish?

More generally, if you believe in an afterlife of any sort, what do you think yours will be like?

I saw the subject heading an thought that I'd stop in. However, you really should have labelled your thread as "The Christian afterlife". 😕

I did until I thought of asking a more general question.

You just can't catch a break with this one, heh?

I myself plan to spend some time traveling the univers after I die. After that I think I might head back here and haunt RHP!!!!!

So your sitting in heaven this wonderful place, full of great stuff, everything you ever wanted, but still wishing for something else? Sounds a bit greedy to me! I guess god would probably have no choice but to send you down to hell (gluttony being one of the 7 deadly sins etc...) 😉

There is probably a series of questions to be gone through before you are ultimately classified ('If yes, go to #6, otherwise go to #13 unless you'll be in hell for reasons addressed in #62, in which case go to #27, provided you think you will answer ''No'' to #14, but don't look at it yet, because it's a secret...'😉.

Of course, all paths lead to question number 12, which, if God or Allah or Jehovah or Yaweh or the Great Spirit or whoever has any sense at all reads:

''What is 6 x 9?''

😛

Shouldn't that be 6 X 7?

If you think carefully about a heaven where all your wishes come true (presumably for eternity) i.e. no pain, no hunger, no strife, no worry, no ageing, no struggle, nothing to work towards, etc... Ultimately no goals to achieve at all - you have everything already. Then surely it leads to the conclusion that you must eventually wish that something would go wrong to relieve the mind numbing boredom of it all.

Why do you think Heaven is a place where every wish comes true? Just beacuse some people say so? Why not try to find for yourself?
There is not just one heaven; there are 9 heavens... and 9 hells... and not just one life. At the end of your last life you are judged and you can choose to go to heaven ... or you are (most probably) sent to hell(to be purified).
To wish means to suffer and , until you have killed your every wish you are not free to go to heaven and enjoy eternal happiness.

Fifty years ago, I did not exist. And in fifty years I will not exist.

That is my after life.
