Has an article that more than any of recent memory reveals our true problem as a society. Ignorance.

We just don't know enough to be helpful and we know just enough to be dangerous.

The article in question arrives at a startling set of measured data, working with GEOS data for a decade.

The particulate matter in the upper atmosphere is falling to dangerous levels. Too much light/heat energy is getting through and is heating the earth.

Go figure. We are doomed. The "unprecedented lack of polutants and aerosols" in the atmosphere is allowing high levels of light to heat us up. Does this mean that we have done too good of a job at cleaning up?

Or does it mean we don't have a clue?

I rather think that we don't know the least bit of what's going on. In every study I have read, I can see the "ABC" factor having way too much influence. Very little science and a whole big grovel for research and funding dollars. What'de I told you bout' those greedy bastard free market'rs? Hell. They, just like us, make up the questions to fit their needs.

I agree. Society is ignorant of science. And technology, too.

Most of us don't understand how a television works, despite staring at one for most of our lives. We flick the lightswitch and have no idea why it suddenly gets bright.

I blame engineers.
