"Five years ago this month, Terri Schindler Schiavo was moved from the Palm Gardens Nursing Home in Largo, Fl., to the Woodside Hospice House in Pinellas Park on orders of her estranged husband without the knowledge of her parents and without court order.

A hospice is a facility or service which provides supportive care for terminally ill patients and their families.

But Terri Schindler-Schiavo did not have a terminal illness."

" ....... The federal agency has been trying to recover the Medicare overpayments made to the hospice since May, 1997 at the time when Michael Schiavo’s attorney, euthanasia advocate George Felos was chairman of the board.

George Felos also conveniently forgot to give notice to the court and her parents, Mary and Robert Schindler Sr. that he was chairman of the board of directors at the Hospice at the time and had been since at least Jan. 31, 1997 and perhaps earlier.

George Felos also forgot to tell the court that at the time that Terri Schiavo was unlawfully entered into the Hospice of Florida Suncoast Inc. that the federal government was actively trying to recover nearly $15 million paid to the corporation in a fraudulent Medicare payments because patients certified as terminally ill were not in fact terminally ill and ineligible to be admitted to the Hospice under Medicare.

The Empire Journal has also learned that Terri Schiavo was entered into the hospice without the proper written certification. Such certification must be signed by both the attending physician and the hospice medical director and include a written statement that a beneficiary is terminally ill based on medical evidence that supports a life expectancy of six months or less. In Terri’s case, not only is the medical evidence lacking but the attending physician did not sign the certificate as required.

Under federal law, in order to qualify for hospice care and Medicare benefits, there must be a proper certification of terminal illness which is lacking in this case."

Joe.

Enough already. I am on your side in that Teri should now belong to her Mother, not her husband who "probably" killed her for the insurance.

But enough is enough.

The courts have ruled and just like OJ and Robert Blake... and a thousand other cases... the bad guys won. Let's just move on.

Think of it as a case where you did your best and lost.

That is what we all do in life. Don't make yourself crazy wanting "absolute" justice. It died when apes learned the art of war as a means of killing the chief of the tribe.

It's a long war. Don't exhaust yourself over a single battle. Save yourself for the war.

Do you think Terri's death will be the end of the "Terri Schiavo Case" ?

No.

There is a certain "magic" in this kind of world attention.

"life" has lost a great battle. But it has not lost the war. When we lose a billion people to bio-chem attack to Bin Laden in the next twenty years... the issue will be brought out again.

Next time ... with a billion mothers willing to speak, "life" will win.

Born of woman makes a human. The amount of damage doesn't have meaning.

Discard the 'weak' to the wolves only when it means a child must die to the wolf. If the tribe can afford the 'weak' then save them for their mothers sake. Mothers are all that earth has. There is no other force.

Another old svw saying.... etc...

Michael Schiavo has chosen for a cremation instead of a grave.

I'm sure Michael will state this was Terri's wish ..... and Terri's body will be gone forever, investigations will no longer be possible .... besides that ..... a grave could become a pilgrimage site for pro-lifers and other mentally handicapped people ....... 😕

Would you want 35 broken bones ... that you barely managed to hide available to future investigation?

The future is a bitch. You killed and got away this time because Florida hires only Democrats... who are by definition incompetent.

but why chance it? They might hire a republican doctor someday.

I'm confused. When you say her body will be gone forever, what do you mean? Cremation is very common in Florida. Both my in-laws were cremated in Florida and their ashes were scattered in the gulf.

I know you're confused ..... 🙄

Terri's parents made a request for Terri to be buried.

Michael Schiavo denied that request.

Since you asked, I will respond. They were both hospice patients about ten years apart. One died in a nursing home and the other died in the home of her son. No agressive treatments other than pain and symptom control which is what they wanted. No lawyers, no press, no Randall Terry. They both died peacefully.

So "they both were murdered".

That is what you are trying to equate to this conversation.

I get the feelin' that we are at cross conversation and purpose here.

Unless you are silly enough to pass an innocent and family welcomed death at the same as Teris.

I don't think you are that stupid.

So exactly what would you have done differently to keep them from being "murdered"?

Oh I don't know.

I would have had florida law enable the doctors to examine her at entrance and issue a full body scan.

it is illegal without "mikes" ok in florida. He didn't give permission.

So she layed for five years.

What the killer did wrong was to agree to "normal" hospital proceedures. It is very small print.

She was put on a respirator.... and feeding and lived.

Much to mikes surprise. He then moved on with his girlfriend. Two weeks into it. Then his second girlfriend... six months into it.

Mikes big mistake was in not saying no to "normal" hospital protocol and letting her die. But no matter the cost now. He can't let her survive.

He killed her. Just as sure as OJ did.

Let the woman die with what little dignity she has left. That is all we have in the end. Please quit arguing for selfish reasons.
