Begun in 1970s, supported by Israel to counteract PLO.
Formally established as Hamas by Ahmed Yassin in 1987.
Gained support in 1990s.
Won 2006 election.
Begun decline in 2009.

Did you read the article? They were suppressing an armed revolt, of pretty unsavory characters I might add.

Now they know what problems Fatah had in dealing with them. There is irony in this. Hamas considered moderate! Ha!

Fatah's made up of corrupt power-loving collaborators; don't talk to me of them. But I do see the irony.

The end of Hamas? Such a shame, it's a great source of protein and fibre. Vegetarians everywhere will be devastated.

Hamas and Hezbollah will end the moment Iran stops financing these terror groups.

I don't give a crap about Hamas. But Hezbollah is much better; you can't just group them together.

Hezbollah's only a terror group when it's convenient for the US.

Hezbollah is taken very seriously by the US. They pose a much greater threat to Israeli security than is commonly thought. It's quite likely that the next clash would take place within Israel.

Israel and the US are the terrorists.
Hezbollah and Hamas are nothing but reactions to situations.

How people "react to situations" is what defines them. Somehow, raising children to crave death in the act of killing Jews and sending them out with suicide belts seems a rather deplorable reaction.

Yeah. Unfortunately, Israel's security is not a factor in the US lists.
