To tell you the truth I don't know. You are correct, I think the person should be credited with the work and I have taken that to heart by posting a link with any copy and pasting I have done since.

I think if someone elses work were published it would be different. When it gets into a discussion forum we are not publishing other peoples works for profit. If a person could be sued for stealing another persons work in discussion we would not be able to even discuss a concept. How would we even talk about a book? And why we like it.

Like I said, I don't know.
