"smoldering corruption"...what are you talking about? All I have done is mention a fact about the dangers of nuclear power!
Interestingly enough, they say that what you say is what you are.
Smoldering corruption sums up beautifully, every single post you have ever written on this site.
are you an ''inbred redneck'' then???
Just admit you're wrong.

I wouldn't expect you to understand, generalidiot.
You are as morally corrupt, and even more ignorant (some achievement!), than DSR.
you seem to be the one spreading ignorance in this thread.
just because there was an accident in the past, we should give up on nuclear energy?

I never said we should give up on nuclear energy.
You asked "Why not go nuclear?" and I gave you a damn good reason why not.
Get a grip man.

Nice non-sequitor there.
There are plenty of safe alternatives to nuclear power. Wind power is replacing it as we speak.
And as soon as the oil companies give up the patents on the better car batteries, cars will soon be zero-emission vehicles.
Although hydrogen based cars are explosively cool as well.

Driving cars is much more likely to kill us than nuclear accidents... therefore, we should stop driving cars.
Traffic accidents that kill happen all the time but each one has a very limited effect. A nuclear disaster, as was shown by Chernobyl, can affect hundreds of millions of people at once. You don´t need to have many of those over the course of a few hundred years to starting bend the statistics.
I am happy for nuclear fuel to be used however I´d rather they shoved the reactor core deep under ground.
Originally posted by WheelyIt's better than deep in the ground, it's inside something called a containment building that has been designed to more than contain a melt down.
