Does it demean women?

Nice double entendre, sjeg. It does both.

Clock

It objectifies women and dehumanizes men, thus, we are all the poorer for it.

What about male/male porn?

But some love it as well as making a good living out of it.
Also is not a taste for 'porn',in that sense, more natural than an addiction to sodomy or other perversions of the sexual instinct ?

It gives them a good modal to aspire to.

Not some of the porn I've seen 😲

But, as long as no-one is being exploited, I don't see what's wrong with it.
It's a demand-supply thing.

All the same...I would not like to see a porn sacrifice.

It can be demeaning, of course, but is not necessarily so.

It depends, of course. Fundamentally, men and women doing it together on film is equally demeaning (or not) to men and women. I think it is the softer porn that is usually more sexist/offensive to women.

please define what is your concept of soft porn

Some so-called soft porn is erotic cinema and it is a form
of art.

Still have my doubts about porn, though. It is a very useful
tool for sociologists, historians, anthropologists, etc. A true
manifestation of human search.

Ok. By "soft porn" i wasn't thinking of erotic cinema, i was thinking more of those top-shelf magazines which seem to just make objects of women. As in- "ooh, we can see her bum!"- kind of porn. This is what we grew up with in the Uk, and it's sexist.
My point is, men and women filmed having sex is not biased in any way. I find it strange when women say porn is sexist when it is a film of a man and a woman having great sex. Why do people say this is sexist?

BTW, i live in Hove in the UK, where the earliest known still surviving porn film was supposed to have been made. Hilarious! Needless to say, the girl was very very very white.

That's why I love amateur porn, mate. Free, voluntary,
uninterested, sportive, real, good sex 😵

Some porn demeans women, but as a whole it does not. Neither does it "raise the standards by which they are to be judged".
