Many of the US's best minds are expatriating to do research in European Union nations, which is something of the reverse of what happened when the Old World was being terrorized by the Third Reich.
The brain drain was already starting a year ago...

French university welcomes first US researchers (June 2025)
Eight American researchers have arrived at the University of Aix-Marseille following the March launch of its 'Safe Place for Science' initiative, the first among 20 set to relocate there in the coming months.
.....
The program has already drawn nearly 300 applicants from top institutions such as Stanford, NASA and Berkeley. The development comes as US universities have been threatened since Trump's return to the White House with massive federal funding cuts, causing research programs to face closures. Some staff also fear possible detention and deportation for their political views. AMU – one of France's largest universities, with some 12,000 international students alone – is eager to provide a home for these scholars, with research funding for up to three years.
And the drain is only accelerating...

“We’ve lost a generation of scientists”: US talent turns to France (March 2026)
Funding cuts and attacks on academic freedom are driving US researchers to seek opportunities in Europe, as stakeholders warn of “historic damage” to America’s scientific ecosystem.
The French government has announced grant funding for 46 researchers coming to the country under its ‘Choose France for Science’ initiative, launched last year in a bid to attract international talent pivoting away from an increasingly hostile US research environment...
It's not just France reeling in the talent. Germany, Spain, Denmark, and many other EU countries—not to mention other countries outside the EU—are setting up aggressive programs to lure top researchers from the US. Permanently.

Welcome, American scientists: Europe, a haven for researchers struggling under Trump (March 2026)
Initiatives are multiplying in EU countries including France, Germany and Austria to attract the talent being driven away by the US president’s policies...
The application process takes time, but from the looks of it there is the potential for the US to lose thousands of top scientific researchers within the next couple of years. And this doesn't even count the thousands more who were trained abroad and will choose not to come to the US to work.
This sort of thing has happened before, but to another country in the middle of the 20th century. Until World War II, German was one of the Big Three languages used in scientific papers (alongside English and French). And then it was gone, and Russian entered the top tier.
Fascists always shoot themselves in the ass in the end.
@Soothfast
The stupidification of America is no accident. It’s deliberate, part of Project2025. Ignorant people are easier to manipulate than people who have learned fact-checking and critical thinking skills.
@moonbus saidSeems like the stupification of America is more of a Democrat plan since they let in at least 12 million low IQ illegals that we know of, and probably a whole lot more.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidI'm glad to see you and your MAGAbot brethren have yet to find a positive spin to the brain drain described in the OP, because there isn't one. All you can seem to do is spout obvious nonsense. Even the gibbering of monkeys at the zoo has some constructive purpose, quite unlike your noises.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidMost of your "illegal immigrants" are bilingual or better, unlike the vast majority of the MAGA types.
She is NOT an illegal alien and she speaks FIVE lanuages, her IQ is probably far above yours.
@Soothfast saidThey can barely speak the language they were raised under.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidReally.

About 34% of unauthorized immigrants in the US are proficient in English, and since the vast majority of them come from non-English-speaking countries, we can safely infer that around 30% are at least bilingual.
Meanwhile about 20% of all US citizens are bilingual:
https://www.american.edu/cas/news/multilingualism-on-rise-in-us-illusion-or-reality.cfm
Among US citizens, millions are legal immigrants, who are disproportionately bilingual or better, which means the percentage of native-born US citizens who are bilingual is rather less than 20%.
You have already gone on record here as associating multilingualism with intelligence (which is tosh—but hey, it's your game). Your have also already said here that illegal immigrants are "low IQ." Based on the hard data in the links above, you seem to have gotten yourself into a pickle. Bilingualism is far less common among native-born US citizens than illegal immigrants. According to your logic, we can only conclude that MAGAbots—who surely are overwhelmingly native-born—are, on average, lower IQ than illegal immigrants.
Smell you later, dingleberry.
@Soothfast saidSo 30% is now "most" of them to you?
Really.

You have a strange definition of "most".
Also they are "infering" that figure. (That means making it up)
We got people living here for 20+ years that STILL don't speak English and their kids born here are barely proficient at it even as teens.
@Soothfast saidI've considered moving to Spain or France. Not that I'm exactly the top of the academic world but I'm a clever fellow with scientific education.

@Cliff-Mashburn saidRFK Jr is pretty stupid.
Admittedly we do have a lot of really stupid Americans, but they are mostly 25 and under.
