Then I have teacher's that show me the MEANING behind what we learn - why we learn it. Why do we learn history? My excellent history teacher explained this to us. I won't use 90% of what I learn in history, but it's the knowledge that is gained, and the ability to be able to talk about historical events that matters, to become more "cultured" so to speak. I may not "use" it, but there is some value behind it. So go ahead Gin, have no opinion, but your students will hate you, and they won't learn the importance of whatever class you teach.
I'll bet you hated them, Xanthos.. I'll also bet that if you had a teacher that said something you didn't like you'd be the first to run to the administration and complain about their having an opinion that you considered improper.
