Barack Hussein Obama, has the majority of newspapers and media in general on his side, and the ones that are not supporting either candidate are often accused of being ''fascist'' (as in the case of Foxnews).

Is it really a fair election?

You think that it isn't fair that the media saw the same facts as you and didn't choose your guy? C'mon, get a life. So do you think that they should back McCain even though they don't agree with his policies, just to even it out?

Im not sure if they're backing Obama because of his policies, they're probably contaminated with the virulent Obamamania.

Yes, cause everyone who disagrees with you isn't thinking rationally.

fox news is clearly republican. No one denies that.

But just because the other media appear to side with obama, it doesn't mean they only side with him because they are democrat supporters.

MOST OF THE WORLD supports Obama. Maybe that should tell you something. Maybe he's just the guy people think will do a better job leading the US out of the hole it put itself in.

As for it being a "fair election" consider this. The sad reality is that Americans get most of their news from the TV. What's worse, is that there aren't many unbiased news outlets in the US. What's even worse than that though is that even though Americans KNOW the tv networks are biased, THEY STILL WATCH TV!!!???!!

FFS, get off the damn couch, turn off the television and do something productive with your time. There are a myriad other news outlets around the world that the rest of the world relies on for their news to get a better GLOBAL perspective.

You lot just sit like bumps on a log force feeding CNN and FOX news into your minds in between bites of Ho-Ho's and Hot dogs...😕

What is the alternative? Regulating the media? You can't enforce objectivity of the media (and they can't be in any case even if they wanted to, since they don't have access to all information).

I don´t think massmedia outlets should come out in favour of one candidate or the other. It´s not their business to use their enormous abilities to communicate to further their own preferences. They should report the facts.

In the UK the bbc don´t side with anyone and neither do the independent channels. Unfortunatey, some newspapers do.

I keep catching little snippets about this. Is there any truth here? Is the LA Times hiding a tape which shows Obama yucking it up with a PLO terrorist? Has anybody heard anything definitive on this? So far all I've heard is rumors....

Main stream media has supported the socialists/democrats many many years already, that will not change. Except that Pelosi and her goons will succeed to block the talk radio hosts because they do not support the Big Brother mentality.

Yeah... like any election in the US is fair...

However, listening to Palin accuse Obama of "having contacts with leading PLO terrorists" is amusing. Very amusing.

I mean, isn't Khalidi a leading academic in a US university? Suddenly, because he was at the same school as Obama... Obama is linked to terrorism!!!

Morons voting moronic, indoctrinated by morons who are controlled by the very morons the morons vote for...

And you question the fairness?

The choice of facts to report is itself a political and economic decision. If FOX spends days rehashing William Ayers, and MSNBC spends days "reporting" on Palin's wardrobe, they are just giving us facts. But this selection of facts reveals a political bias motivated by economic reasons, since large media outlets are pretty good at tailoring their content to appeal to their consumers. So, if you want objectivity in the media (which I'm not sure is at all possible, even in principle), how do you think they should go about selecting from an overwhelming barrage of facts which to pass on to the public?

I remember watching the election returns into the night. When it was finally decided that Bush had won Florida, Brokaw broke down in tears.

Anyone who claims that the mainstream media does lean (hard) to the left is blinded by being a leftist.

That's the sort of logic I love to see.
