Anyone watch Tribal Wives last night?
Andy a lady with 'a high powered job in london' (that's how they described her) went to live as the cheifs doughter for 4 weeks and tried to fit into the tribe.
After she'd been there a while she said she felt like she was living and that maybe her career isn't all that important after all.
So my question to you is how important is yours?

On the show, are any of the women resentful at the deprivations they must endure while staying with the tribe?

How important is your career to you DSR?
Originally posted by yo its meIt's my identity! After a lifelong fascination with words and books, I trained in college to be a journalist. I can't imagine doing anything else. About the only career change I could imagine, or daydream about would be to become a political cartoonist or to enter into the world of politics.
Sadly I only saw the last one so I don't know about that.

And what about you -- how important is your career to you?
I have been to collage, I have a HND in textiles but it's not easy to get a job in that. I've been a fulltime mum for 9 years now. I have a chioce, I can put my efforts into getting the best career I possiably can or I can just get a regular job that pays the bills.

Regarding your choice of finding the best career or a job that pays the bills is a tough one -- the only advise I can offer is that if you really love working with textiles, then you will find a way to do it. The remuneration may be small at the beginning of your career, but the important thing is that you are honing your skills for a better job in your field later on; also, you're meeting people in your industry who will be in a position to assist you, offer advise or get you freelance jobs.
