Unless we curb present levels of mass immigration, Americans are likely to live in a more conflict-ridden, less cooperative, less advanced, more unequal, higher-taxed, and more government-heavy society, says author Mark Krikorian, in his new book, "The New Case Against Immigration: Both Legal and Illegal." However here at a site that is twice as authoritative on this issue both Wulff and Morgenthaller provides a deep analysis that contradicts Krikorian on every major point of the analysis.
http://www.wulffmorgenthaler.com/default.aspx

I will not summarize the content, because I think it's far better to post random links without even reading the article they point to.

I'm very interested in the issue of immigration. Please provide the link.

Instead of making a statement and posting a link.
Explain to us, in your own words, what the writer's reasoning is.

Here it's tempting to be a smart as s and ask you to read again, since you quote the link above.

But fair enough, it was not there the first 30 seconds of the posts existence.

The main point the author makes -- and it's a good one -- is that mass immigration increases economic inequality.

However, immigration has really been curtailed by the economic situation in the U.S. right now. Is this part of Bush's secret plan?

I've wondered that myself. Kill the jobs and the illegals go home and no one can blame whitey for being racist.

Dubya isn't intelligent enough to create a scheme like that.

Dems want the illegals to increase the number of people who will vote for them. Rich Reps want illegal immigrants because they are cheap labor.

Both sides have reasons to look the other way when it comes to illegal immigration.

By supporting mass immigration, neither side gets what they say they want: liberals get more income inequality and conservatives get higher taxes.

Dems only care about getting elected.

Rich Reps only care about how much money their businesses are making.

The only people interested in increased immigration are Republican businessmen who want to create competition so they can lower the wages they pay to laborers whose jobs, for one reason or another, they cannot move to China. If they can lower labor costs, they raise their profits.

Democrats want to provide benefits for those already here -- but have no interest in having any more.

So you rail against immigration then want us to vote Republican?!?!? If you are against immigration, you should be voting Democrat.
