I got to thinking the other day, after Obama and his cronies force a nationalized health care plan down our throats, what will be the next great entitltment push.....or will they be content? But then I thought, LBJ achieved his "Great Society" and that wans't good enough so I 'm sure Obama and company won't be satisfied either. Perhaps after nationalizing the banks and auto makers, they will attempt to nationalize ALL insursurance companies. After all, if your not going to jack up the health care costs of someone who smokes and over eats, why is it "fair" to jack up the costs of someone who drives and has frequent accidents? For that matter, how about the right to a car? How hard is it to survive without a car? I know I would have problems doing it. Don't laugh, the government now has the auto makers in their back pockets so it may be more realistic than it sounds.

I have taken the liberty of creating whats called "the liberal montra". "Wherever there is fear, we will be there, whenever somethings not "fair", we will care, just give us a call and the next thing you know you will have a law".

Seriously though, once health care is nationalized, what will be the role of the "conservative"? Will they be there to try and turn back the clock on entitlement programs by doing away with them or reform them? We see what success they have had with other entitlement programs such as welfare and social security. LOL. These sacred cows are untourchabe, so what will be their role? Will they be there spouting the same montra of low taxes? How can they do so with ballooing deficits and ballooning entitlement policies? To do so would be suicide. Or will it be there to provide the same anemic opposition to future entitlement programs such as the right to a car? Or perhaps it will be the end of conservatism altogether? If so, what will take its place?

What is it with you freaks and your aversion to universal healthcare? Every industrialized nation in the world has universal healthcare except for the US. And since our system is in such a shambles, do you ever stop to consider that maybe everyone else is right and we're wrong?

First off calling people who disagrre with you freaks is unnecessary. Second of all every country who instituted nationalized healthcare is regretting moving away from a free market system. Who will pay for this? Services will be rationed. Perhaps if the left were not known as the party of death then us "freaks" would not mistrust them as much as how the rationing by a govt employee would be carried out. Never forget: to each according to their need from each according to their ability. Does that remind you of anything/anyone? Next we'll have the obesity police. We already have the thought police in full swing.

It is the same aversion that I have to a social security system that is nothing more than a ponzi scheme that is going bankrupt and untouchable. It is the same aversion I have with Welfare dollars from which only about 9 cents on the dollar goes to the poor and the rest goes to government over head. You know, having a middle man can be problematic, no?

For being fat or harboring bad thoughts? Fat thoughts? Carrie Prejean already paid the price to the thought police. They start with small steps. I saw the obesity czar on TV. She believes fat people should be taxed at a greater rate. Other's on the debates forum believe she should all be rounded up and deported to Greenland where it can be renamed Dunbmfrackistan. Where we can read our Bibles and nod to each other in agreements with our collective IQ's of 10.

Seriously though, from one freak to another, what do you think the next great entitlement program will be or are they done?

How do you explain, then, that every industrialized nation in the world has pretty good, warts and all, universal healthcare except for the US? You talk of aversion etc. Is it aversion that prevents the U.S. from following suit. But as far as I know a majority of Americans want to see a universal healthcare system set up.

Actually we kinda already do with medicare/medicaid. In addition, it is scheduled to go bust in about 7 years or so. No dbout, they can set up a much better system. LOL.

Now my question remains, what is the NEXT great entitlement program. As to whether health care should be nationalized or should not be is of no consequence because the powers that be will decide this, not us.

So governments shouldn't try to help their citizens? They should just horde their money while people drop dead on the streets? Is that the role of government in your dystopian dreamworld?

Is there a reason not to answer the question, except facetiously? I'd be interested in your actual answer.

The answer is, the money has to come from somewhere. Either health care will be rationed, so as to include a great many more people, or it will go bust. In short, nothing is free and easy, much to the chagrin of liberals globally. So what does this rationing include? It will include longer wait periods and a decline in treatment options to name a few. No doubt, there will be some who may suffer more or worse because of the new system. I guess the only question is, will there be greater good from it than bad? Of course, this completly is independent of the government aspect of the program which will probably be mired down in inefficiency and corruption.

This quip suggests that you are, in fact, unfamiliar with universal healthcare that exists in all other industrialized societies. You have a an aversion to something you are unfamiliar with?

The democratic process will decide the allocation for universal healthcare, surely? And the rest of your post sounds like you envisage private health care being abolished if universal healthcare is introduced. Do you?

My only point in mentioning it is the track record of entitlement programs in this country. From my vantage point, they have a 0.000 batting average. In addition, the current entitlement program will be used as a basis for change now because it is going bust. Just like with the credit crisis, there will be no time to study the matter or debate the matter in depth, rather, the time to act is yesterday!!
