One year later...
Trump gets shot and the first thing he does is ask for his shoes.
Secret service didn't rush him offstage.
There was no scarring or permanent damage to the ear. It "healed" immediately.
The shooter had no identification and no face, but they announced the name publicly within 2 hours.
No one has heard from the assassins family and the investigation never released any detailed account of the shooter's motivation, movements, or the security response.
Despite lack of detail there, there are numerous accounts of this guy suspiciously wandering around for hours, videos of spectators calling him out to law enforcement, who did nothing.
There was a sniper with clear line of site to the target and let him get 8 shots off.

A needle sized ear piercing takes three months to heal, and is permanent. A bullet hole that heals in days with no scarring? Impossible.

That is obviously BS. Why would he say that? Evander holyfield had a smaller ear wound.

Jackson, providing what appeared to be the first public description by a medical professional of Trump's gunshot wound, said in a letter posted on social media Saturday that "the bullet track produced a 2 (centimeter) wide wound that extended down to the cartilaginous surface of the ear."
"There was initially significant bleeding, followed by marked swelling of the entire upper ear. The swelling has since resolved, and the wound is beginning to granulate and heal properly," he wrote.
Jackson said he had provided daily evaluation and treatment of Trump's wound since the shooting. He said no sutures were required, but noted that due to the "highly vascular nature of the ear, there is still intermittent bleeding requiring a dressing to be in place."

But it's very strange in the context of all the other stuff that doesn't make sense. Dude wandered around looking suspicious with a gun for an hour. Sniper had a clear shot but didn't see him on the roof with a gun until after he started firing and even then waited for so long? Why secret service left him standing on stage for so long after that? They cleared the crime scene and all evidence within hours.
