Trump called two electors from Michigan; after the call, those electors then rescinded their vote certification for Biden.

This is a crime:

https://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/text/18/595

Whoever, being a person employed in any administrative position by the United States. . . . uses his official authority for the purpose of interfering with, or affecting, the nomination or the election of any candidate for the office of President, Vice President, Presidential elector, Member of the Senate, Member of the House of Representatives, Delegate from the District of Columbia, or Resident Commissioner, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than one year, or both.

Can the president truly commit crimes in broad daylight with no consequences?

Let's forget about who is in office for a moment. How is it that the president can get away with this without anyone even daring to bring charges? How is the U.S. any different from a dictatorship?

Some legal experts believe a sitting president cannot be charged with a crime while in office. This creates a legal loophole where a president can blatantly commit crimes, resign and be pardoned by his VP, so long as it's a federal crime.

No world leader should be allowed immunity from prosecution just because he's in office. The Constitution needs to be changed.

From the link in the OP:

The evening before the two Republican canvassers on the Wayne County elections board signed the affidavits, President Donald Trump spoke with both Monica Palmer and William Hartmann on Tuesday after the second vote to certify the results, sources told ABC News.

It's not immediately clear if the latest move to reverse their votes was discussed.

Any other elected official in the U.S. would be facing criminal charges for doing the same.

Except no one in the U.S. media is even mentioning that this is a crime.

Is it because no one cares anymore? Is it because Trump has done so many illegal things that everyone just yawns when Trump commits another crime? Is it because Trump is on his way out and the media thinks it doesn't matter any more?

Trump is still in a powerful office for 2 months. Now isn't the time to let up. I hope charges are brought after January.
