"As soon as government management begins it upsets the natural equilibrium of industrial relations, and each interference only requires further bureaucratic control until the end is the tyranny of the totalitarian state."
Adam Smith said this.
What do you government, dependents (all of you?) think about this? You want government management! Help! Tyranny is in our future if we lose Trump to AOC!. Oh god. Or, Adam Smith was ...wrong?? Was he a fool? Or, are you wrong??
@AverageJoe1 saidNo he didn’t.

The passage above was not written by Adam Smith. It first appeared in a 1939 essay by Everett Dean Martin who was a Professor of Social Philosophy at Claremont Colleges in California.

@AverageJoe1 saidNo. There were a lot of fruitcakes running around in the 1930's.

Government exists to protect all our rights equally. The free market cannot and will not do this.
Also, free markets cannot survive without protected rights to property and contract enforcement, i.e. government.
Most capitalists realize that they can't make any money if government falls. The only people who think they could make MORE money in a society of warlords and anarchy are the REALLY BAD businessmen. 😆
P.S. You noticed that our government is currently run by a 'really bad businessman' who is trying to dismantle government. Right? You saw that?
