@metal-brain saidIf you use the argument that the USA can't complain about Russia then the two things should be comparabel.
What does that have to do with anything? Can you point me to the contract in which Russia was specifically a guarantee force for the territorial integrity of Ukraine?
So Russia guaranteed the territorial integrity of the Ukraine in the Budapest memorandúm and designed themselves guardian of the same point.
The USA did guarantee what?
The memorandum can be found here:

for you the verbatim quote (highlight by me):
The Russian Federation, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and The United States of America reaffirm their commitment to Ukraine, in accordance with the principles of the CSCE Final Act, to respect the independence and sovereignty and the existing borders of Ukraine.
@metal-brain saidAnother Russia apologist.
What about Iraq?
What about Libya? NATO aggression. NATO invades countries in violation of international law.
So does the USA. France vetoed the UN Iraq war authorization Bush tried to get using bribery, coercion and extortion.
American aggression.

@sonhouse saidDeal with the subject at hand.
@Mott-The-Hoople
In other words, you cannot answer his question so you just pop in another question. That is not debate, that is stupid distraction, ANYTHING to not have to actually answer the question.
@ponderable saidThat was signed by US puppet Boris Yeltsin.

“ It is the West’s wacko environmentalists who handed Russian President Vladimir Putin the leverage and money to invade Crimea in 2014 and Ukraine this week.
Without these wackos, Putin would be just another gangster in charge of a crumbling country, and maybe one on the verge of a revolution to depose him.”

@metal-brain saidI don’t know why you got five red thumbs because it’s true in both the USA and the UK only one side of the story allowed and that’s the official narrative. In the UK they propose to change the law so that you have to be an”officially recognised journalist”, so bang goes the voices if anyone critical of the uk government. Then we have another beauty being positioned “you cannot embarrass the uk government”. It’s bit reminiscent of that other totalitarian bastion Australia, where only certain types of humour could be projected at the government. I don’t think you got red thumbs on the truthfulness of what you said, it’s the perception of your political views. I was accused of being a Trump supporter earlier by Suzianne despite the fact that I’m British, don’t vote, and couldn’t vote in a USA election if I wanted to. My “crime” ? I pointed out that in 1990 the American government promised not to extend nato any further towards Russia and have clearly lied.
Meanwhile the US occupies one third of Syria. The US government is hardly in a position to complain about Russia, but the corporate news media omits the hypocrisy. Nobody is allowed to debate it on the corporate news media. 2 sides of the story is not allowed.
