Yes there bloody is.

They gave the oscar for best film to Forrest Gump, when Pulp Fiction was a far better picture, more original, better acting, better dialogue and better soundtrack.

If that didn't warp general world opinion anti-American, I don't know what did!

Hollywood ain't part of America, regardless of how dearly you Europeans worship the stars. They are a bunch of idiots, plain and simple. I don't waste my $$ on any of them.....

But there truely is a gap which could be sensed running trough america.

On the one side stand the people who believe in the news without doubting it and believe in the war on terror. Lets call them the Sith Lords or the dark side of the force or the wicked (Quote from Gangs of New York: "For the Lord crushes the wicked !"

On the other side i am into contact with more and more often younger people which are terrified by the foreign policy of their own country. Lets call them the Jedi or the good force.

Besides that I am just kidding about the judging of the two sides I, as a foreign person must say that it looks like that your huge country gets more and more divided by the current politics (maybe even to be seperated from who is in charge in the white house).

As I am familiar to the situation how hard it s to overcome once divided thoughts (you still can feel sometimes the gap between FORMER east Germans and western ones) I sense a real great danger to the political climate in the USA.

I repeat besides kidding i am bot judging anybody. Its up to you to clarify this matter at hand.

You simply can not expect everyone else to possess your intellectual capacities, Chancremechanic. Be fair!

They should all be arrested for impersonating real people.

Not even Hollywood, Florida? I know it's full of French Canadians, but I think it is still part of the US.
