"I say working class people dont derserve the vote.

anyone who spends their free time in the pub, clubbing or down the football club doesn't derserve the vote. Only people who read books and understand things do."

i've just corrected your grammar and spelling for you. notice 2 b's in clubbing, its their when naming not there as in a place, i'd also think long about using 'at' instead of 'in' the pub, and at the end only people who read and understand things is a bit of a meaningless atatement unless grounded in the context of the paragraph.

to rewrite the whole thing i'd say,

i believe that a section of the working classes should be denied the vote as their pastimes of clubbing, socialising in the pub and watching football matches, doesn't allow for the scope of inquiry required to make an educated vote during an election.

i couldnt disagree with you more as i personally love clubbing, spend at least 1 or 2 evenings a week in the pub socialising with friends, follow Norwich City (i know) football club, but still have all the faculties required to read and spell, unlike some.

Surely you didn't make a mistake when correcting someone? Should it not be "should be denied the vote as their pastimes of clubbing, socialising in the pub and watching football matches, don't allow for the scope"?

It is precisely the uneducated that voting was set up for.

It is the modern day opiate of the people, it keeps them busy and make them think they have a say in how the country is running.

We are continually told that our most important benefit in western societies is our vote, it is because we have this we are not oppressed, it is our freedom and our shot at self determination.

In practice it is a device to keep us ‘happy’ and have the illusion we have some real impact on the world.

When we were peasants it was food for the body that kept the pitchforks in the barn, then in the days of 100% religion it was food for the soul…. Nowadays it is ‘food for our desire for freedom and self determinism’

The problem is that we are loosing our taste for this latest type of honey, hence the very low voter turnout, even the thick are beginning to work out that voting provides no real power or choice for the individual.

That is why the masters are looking to other methods of control, unfortunately the positive stuff is waning and they appear to be left with only negative control methods like:- Avarice, debt and fear.

No wonder they are racing to get ID cards and other methods of control in place as soon as they can technological advantage and control is their greatest hope for maintaining their position at the top of the pile in the medium term.

No leave the thick their votes it keeps them busy.

The views above do not represent the views of the author, at least not so for more then a few moments in accordance with the tenants of Supra-agnostism.

He also didn't correct the spelling of the word derserve (deserve), didn't capitalise the word 'notice' at the beginning of a sentence, never capitalised 'I' and also used the word 'atatement'.
Worst of all, admitted to being a Norwich City fan!!!

Your voting rights are hereby rescinded kcams. 🙂🙂🙂

(I checked this post several times! I hope I didn't make any errors else I shall have to suffer the ignominy of going into the 'spelling and grammar' sin bin with Brother Edwin.)
