Really? Then that must be why they hanged a 16 year-old girl for consorting with an older man in Nekka a few years ago.

Really? They must be Arabs because they hanged a young woman?

I never said Iran was democratic. I just said it was "more democratic than Israel by far."

And the Darwin Award runner up is:

The switch away from daylight savings time that autumn caused consternation among Arab terrorist groups this year. At precisely 5:30 pm Israeli time on a Sunday, two coordinated car bombs exploded in different cities, killing three terrorists who were transporting the bombs. It was initially believed that the devices had been detonated prematurely by klutzy amateurs.

A closer look revealed the truth behind the untimely explosions. Three days before, Israel had made a premature switch from Daylight Savings Time to Standard Time in order to accommodate a week of Slihot, involving pre-sunrise prayers.

Here is the part that makes me scratch my head and think of Scherzo:

Palestinians refused to "live on Zionist time."

Two weeks of scheduling havoc ensued. The bombs had been prepared in occupied territory, and set on Daylight Savings Time. The confused drivers had already switched to Standard Time. As a result, the cars were still en-route when the explosives detonated, delivering the terrorists prematurely to their 72 virgins. Because they had become martyrs in such a manner, the virgins were all morbidly obese and had mustaches darker and more luxuriant than the martyrs.

Thank you for that most enlightening story. I'll keep it in mind in case I ever set up a car bomb and refuse to acknowledge Israeli time change.

You can't ethnically cleanse half a population and then expect them to take the first steps in amending the resulting situation.

I'm sure that if the UN gave the most fertile parts of the US to Mexico and that Mexico took over another 50% of the US just for good measure, that you wouldn't be too happy either.
I would admit that there's a certain amount of logic to such an event.

The hypothetical assumed they could. Of course it's not a realistic hypothetical.

I see. More like us and Britain doing that.
