First of all the guy is not a news man and he has his own show, you just watched it (probably repeatedly).

One problem that we do have is that you always have people overdoing things. Prejudice is objectively there and one should actively work against them. And I personally wouldn't re-edit books, that have been written, when they have been written. But that doesn't mean, that I can freely use the language or the thought system.

I myself did read Karl May, who was a racist but wrote exciting books. I did realize much later that some of the actively advertised values were not only disputable but outright wrong. I still let my sons read the books, but talked about the stereotyping in them.

(two communities), Greeks, Haitians, Cambodians, Swedish, Russian, Brazilian,
Arab, Lithuanian, Sub-Saharan African, West Indian.

And all you hear is people bytching about "Diversity!! Diversity!!"
