It was fun (the sad, unfun kind) seeing another line being crossed in Amerika with the Obamas as monkeys post. We look back with nostalgia at the good old days when racism was implied or subtle. When racists looked behind them to see who is listening before telling a racist joke.
The president of the United States put a picture of black people as monkeys. Let that sink in. Doubled down on it. The fact he removed it is worth less than used toilet paper after a Taco Bell outing.
At one point someone said something i completely agree with:
America is not like this because Trump is president. Trump is president because THIS is America
@Zahlanzi said? racism implied or subtle? Now we have someone who is going to give us the definition of racism because I have yet to hear it on this forum…. From anyone. No question that you all pretend to be offended by the meme. Improve your life, make good friend of a black guy and enjoy racist jokes with each other.

Will we be subjected to subjects such as his, of course peppered with Trump TDS, for the next nine months.? Do you people not know how to help your party campaign to get the White House back? Do you think all of this does you any good, the simple fact that a Super Bowl , which is the one thing that we all do and watch together in our universe, was not at all about America?
What WAS it about.
@Zahlanzi saidYeah. Maybe provisionally it could be said that America was always about ideology over compassion. The attempts at promoting compassion came later.

"American Christianity" is so strange.

An America where we come together to build each other up through our diversity, our strength.
The overriding theme was "The only thing more powerful than hate is love." Martin Luther King, Jr said the same thing.
You do know that Puerto Rico is part of America, right? So I guess that if Trump doesn't know it (which he clearly doesn't) then you don't know it either, yeah?
Pathetic.
@fornichessate removed their quoted postYou better take a CLOSE look at your meds. Your brain is slipping into fantasy.

@Zahlanzi saidAgreed. Trump is not a cause, he's a symptom.

I'm old enough to remember when Sen. Gary Hart's political career was terminated by mere photograph of a woman, not his wife, sitting on his lap. Now there's Trump in the White House, married to one of Epstein's whores. How low America has sunk ... how much lower does it have to sink ?
@moonbus saidAnd who can forget when Howard Dean's run was stopped after his awkward scream was caught on video in 2004?
Agreed. Trump is not a cause, he's a symptom.

That's all it took back then. We held our candidates to a much higher standard then.
I think Trump was right, he could shoot someone on 5th Avenue and it wouldn't make much difference. His supporters are that brainwashed.
@Suzianne saidActually my understanding is that Puerto Rico is a colony of the USA (whatever happened to "no taxation without representation" or is that leftwing?)

@Ponderable saidI believe the technical term for its status is "U.S. Territory", but no doubt Maurader will correct me.

Territories of the United States are subnational geographical and political areas governed as administrative divisions and dependent territories under the sovereignty of the United States. Although all are subject to the constitutional and territorial jurisdiction of the U.S. federal government, territories differ from states and Indian reservations in that they are not inherently sovereign. While states have dual sovereignty and Native American tribes have tribal sovereignty in relation to the federal government, the self-governing powers of territories ultimately derive from the U.S. Congress, as per the Territorial Clause in Article IV of the U.S. Constitution. Territories are classified as "organized" or "unorganized" depending on whether they operate under an organic act, and "incorporated" or "unincorporated" depending on whether the U.S. Constitution applies fully or partially to them. As areas belonging to, but not integral parts of, the U.S., territories are their own distinct nations centered around a collective identity based on their land, history, ethnicity, culture, and language.
Puerto Rico is a commonwealth. The definition of commonwealth according to 2013 United States Department of State policy, as codified in the department's Foreign Affairs Manual, reads: "The term 'Commonwealth' does not describe or provide for any specific political status or relationship. It has, for example, been applied to both states and territories. When used in connection with areas under U.S. sovereignty that are not states, the term broadly describes an area that is self-governing under a constitution of its adoption and whose right of self-government will not be unilaterally withdrawn by the U.S. Congress."

Now you just tell us how the flags of the other schools in town would be appropriate in my Child's school parade. C'mon , tell us.how, if it was OK at SuperBowl, it would be OK in this parade????

You should be embarrassed floating such a ridiculous comparison.
