Seems to me that US is doing well (despite Trump) ... but citizens are not reaping benefits.

Citizens are the US. Only the rich are doing well. People who have jobs and have never looked for work in years have no idea how hard it is to get a job. If they lost their jobs today they would sing a very different tune tomorrow.

@mott-the-hoople saidPeople need jobs that pay well, not food stamps. The truth is that a low unemployment rate is being avoided to suppress wages so they never keep up with inflation. They would rather use taxpayer money to give food benefits to people instead of paying a fair wage.

We have a policy in the US of managed poverty. It insures the rich get richer with very little effort.
