True, but a majority do, and it is the national standard.

Hi David, I'm kiwi too. Don't be hard on Phla. He just calls it as he see's it and from my perspective it's pretty much always a fair call.

Depending on your point of view, it is "an extinct(?) flightless bird", "a jar of shoe polish", "a tasty fruit" or "a person from New Zealand". 🙂

Except for the 'extinct' bit, all the rest are valid.

Is it true that the Kiwi is the official symbol of New Zealand's national airline?

Incorrect. Air New Zealand's logo is the Koru, which is clearly visible on the tail plane, and I'm not sure I care much for the tone of your post.

Don't build a cage if you don't want it to be rattled 🙂

Don't live in a sewer if you do not want to be regarded as a rodent.

Have you been following classes in "wittisism" or something?

I can't find Koru in the dictionary. What's a Koru?
And what was wrong with the tone of the said post?

I too looked up my Webster's (Third unabridged- four volumes no less) and discovered to my absolute suprise that the entry
"shavixmir" was listed as " noun - ignorant Dutchman of uncertain parentage" Seems plausible given your latest rhetoric.

Seriously girl, you've got to lighten up.
Not every question is an attack and not every statement is personal.
Not every remark is serious and not every view point is true.

I once saw a stand up comedian from New Zealand rant about kiwi's and he said they were the symbol of New Zealand's national air-line. I was just wondering, as kiwi's were being discussed, if his statements were true. For if they are, then it is quite funny having a non-flying bird as a symbol on an aircraft.

You said they were not and that Koru's are.
So, let me repeat my questions for you: What's a Koru and what what was wrong with the tone of the afore mentioned post.
