Killing a ruling that had been around for over a half CENTURY, the Roe V Wade case, and Trump is PROUD of it.
Now the incredibly benign Senate blocked the bill codifying the right to use contraceptives, we can't even use the pill legally any more.
One by one our what we used to think was our rights are now trampled on by both a right wing house, ultrarightwing SCOTUS and now unable to get even a simple bill passed allowing contraceptives passed in the senate.
And OF COURSE we are supposed to think Trump is no longer POTUS so he is out of the picture when in fact it is clear as a bell he is in fact the OWNER of the entire republican party and such pesky issues as mere policy is TOTALLY out the window in their zeal to stop ANY bill put forward by Democrats.

I didn't make this a racial issue. Whites and blacks and Asians and anyone else has the right to not have a baby if they don't want one. That aside, I did have the thought maybe the GOP is seeing the falling fertility rate and are instituting changes to change it. If so, it will fail, because if the fertility rate is going down the population will go down eventually no matter what laws they make to prevent abortions.
The thing I don't get is if that is their rationale why are they against IVF? that technique is a way to ensure pregnancy so why are they against it? Doesn't make sense when they are so hard core against abortions.
