There is no "peace agreement" at this time. There's a ceasefire agreement with an exchange of prisoners which has happened several times before between Hamas and Israel.

This gives Netanyahu a fig leaf and a political win so he can pursue real peace if he wants to (though, again, I'll believe it when I see it).
Personally, I think anything towards peace is good, and Trump does deserve some credit. Will he take more credit than he deserves? Of course he will. But a few strokes of his massive ego is a small price to pay for even a slightly elevated chance at peace.

What if Mexicans came into this country and killed 30,000 people and then took 10,000 other ones as hostagesback into Mexico Those numbers might be somewhat equal to the percentages of the ones lost in Gaza.
