Buyouts for 2M fed employees, Trump offers 8 months of pay.to each employee. This would save $100B annually. And this is just one example of waste that that pesky Elon Musk has figured out. Ha, a businessman, indeed.

Trump is a business guy running the government. One of you keeps writing that we should not have a businessman In government.🤔🤣

It will all be pennies compared to entitlement or defense spending. They're playing around with the small slice of the pie.

Deficit spending is already a trillion dollars and is set to explode with all the new trump spending programs. $100 billion cash to the tech bros. Bailouts for farmers. Doubling ICE budget. Dismantling IRS.

Pretending to cut costs by offering personnel bailouts is theatrics.

And then they'll all apply for unemployment benefits.

Yup, saved the country a whole buncha munny.

Relax, get some popcorn. He’s only been at it for about 116 hours.

@AverageJoe1
I get the feeling that you all want him to fail with his promises? These are his promises you understand he’s promised to do these things, which sounded great to everyone and they voted for him, but now you are saying you don’t want him to come through on the promises. It will give me something to cogitate while I’m waiting with my popcorn.

he’s promised to do these things,
LIAR! He never said a word about all these cuts and freeze's liar; and all the other illegal sht he is trying to do. He would have lost the election in a heartbeat if he had. The only fools who would have voted for him would have been fools like you and the rest of your worthless ilk here.

Lol he had 4 years, mate. Remember?

He tried a lot of this last time. None of it worked. I would say he's making the same mistakes but they're not really mistakes because all he cares about is looking good, not solving problems.

For the next year until campaigns start, he has republican majorities. Cutting spending is a good idea. The budget is too big. If he were serious, he would and could do it the real way. But getting things done would look a lot more boring, so Instead, smoke and mirrors. You buy into the magic tricks every day.

Let's say you come here and promise to fly to the moon. You then start jumping up and down furiously, flapping your arms, hoping to one day jump high enough to launch into space.

I think it's fair to criticize your efforts as futile. It has nothing to do with wanting you to fail.

Effective, efficient government is something every single person can agree is a good thing. Trump's actions so far have done the opposite of saving money. He has spent money, or promised to spend money, with reckless abandon.

To critique what he does and how he does it is what we do here. You seem to be throwing a blanket, that his efforts will be futile, for sure.
Bad analogy, as you KNOW that I will never leave the ground in my moon attempt.
In the case at hand, you do not KNOW that Trump will fail. So your post has no validation.
How much did Biden get done in his first 116 hours? Prob had a new mattress brought in, to his specifications.
But who cares about Biden?

Wildgrass says 'None of it worked'. Since it obviously did, his statement renders his entire post void

Of course if there was any evidence that Trump's approach were effective, id agree.

He was president for four years, remember? Federal budgets exploded up last time. I don't see any reason to suspect his approach has changed.

I know you don't like numbers, but Deficits doubled, pre COVID while Trump was president. Steadily increasing the size of gobermint, up and up for years.

The rest was smoke and mirrors. Same as now.

Could be, I don't stay in the past like you and Shouse bedfellows. So, Trump may have made some mistakes, said things to cool things down, as leaders sometimes do, but you would rather heat it up!!! Point out the mistakes he made, by god. Can you IMAGINE comparisons of him and Biden-in-bed? Oh, did Biden make any mistakes.? You never mentioned any, you only mention Trump mistakes. You even say he has already made some. Not faaaiiiirr.
Have you tried the present? Makes for good conversation. Write how you are praying that he gets us out of this mess, and thank god that the housekeeper is not our president.

It's craaaaazy you say he's only been president for 100 hours, nearly forgetting that we gave him 4 years already. From a budget standpoint, his last presidency was an unequivocal disaster.

If you skim through the article, you would see that Trump expects about 10% of these employees which would be about 250,000 to take the deal. That would hardly cause the administration of the US to crash. The public service in most countries have more employees than what is required to get the job done properly.
I didn't go through the article. That would have been the OP's business who is celebrating that 2 M leave. Then t would be a crash

And of course:

* people who will retire anyway soon will take the cash as added bonus.

* people who expect to be able to find work elsewhere will take the cash.

* that leaves people who won't expect to find anything else will stay.

Where did you get the 2,000,000 from?
He pulled it out of his big asss. Like everything he pukes out..

So as a liberal, you want to babysit people. Hell, if I were not a self-reliant person, I may apply for it. You love government, don't you/. brrrrrrrrrr
