The Turd Emperor once again could not get more voters to vote for him than against him. And his percentage continues to fall as results trickle in.

Meanwhile there is a real chance the GOP will net a loss of one (1) seat in the House, resulting in a near even split between Democrats and Republicans. Whew! Yeah, the biggest mandate in history, amirite?

Rethugs also lost 4 out of 5 Senate races in the swing states. That is to say, a lot of Trump voters also voted for Democratic Senate candidates. Ruh roh. It's lookin' like votin' for Trump was just to protest this or that, and not an endorsement of GOP policy.

Outside of Vermont, where Republicans don't really act like Republicans, the GOP picked up an average of 0.4 legislative seats per state. The "Red Wave" is looking more like a weeping menstrual cycle. 🤣

Did you know Trump has a website? Don't go to it, because your machine will probably catch the clap and ejaculate pus within 10 seconds of visiting, but it says this: "President Donald J. Trump won the 2024 presidential election with an historic mandate. As the first Republican to win the popular vote in two decades."  The sentence fragment is not the funniest thing about this! 🤣 *derp* 🤣 *derp* 🤣 *derp* 🤣 *derp* 🤣 *derp* 🤣

The GOP can only go downhill from here. Thing is, Dear Leader is now a lame duck. He's gonna be gone, and ain't comin' back. The Cabinet he's trying to form is such a clusterfvck of incompetence and scandal it will be a miracle if even a sliver of his agenda gets accomplished. Chaos, pain, and misery will be dealt out wholesale, sure, but a revolution in governing? Nope. But maybe a revolution in grifting!

I think, for the first time, we are on the cusp of that long-expected historical inflection point. The fascists will probably try to seize permanent power as a final desperate act, but that will end in their absolute destruction. Bring it on, mofos.

the only Emperor that I have seen is The DEMOCRAT party.
The one that removed its sitting president as the presidential nominee and then installed at their own choice a candidate that the people did not vote for .

Grow a set of nuts and see whats right in front of you.

Oh...? What % of the vote did Harris get?

And who won the election?

the reason @Soothfast would not answer my questions is because he knows I caught him "lying with statistics".
@Soothfast conveniently forgot to mention that Trump won the popular vote, 49.9% to Harris' 48.3%.

But more importantly Trump won the electoral vote 312 to 226 which was part of the red wave. Ya, Harris was slaughtered.

So:
The Republicans flipped the Executive
The Republicans flipped the Senate
The Republicans maintained control of the House of Representatives
The Republicans won the gubernatorial races 8-3

About the only thing the Democrats won in was throwing out ad hominems

Have a nice day,

Have a nice day,
Dude, you were shot down like a stuka over Iraq in 1991.

There is not red wave. It’s a tiny ripple.
And the ripple has already hit its first sea shell and will continue to fade as the coming months go by.

Yes. The republicans won this election. There is no sweeping the insanity (read: indoctrination) under the carpet.
But it’s not the landslide or never-ending mandate you redneck crackers think it is.

This being said: trump is going to oligarch the fvck out of the US and, from my position, it is going to be hilarious.

I do feel for my friends in the US though. But, all is fair is laughs and giggles. Sometimes one must sacrifice the loved ones for a good laugh.

Just as well that none of them frequent this forum. If word of this got out, my wife would beat me to pulp with a used frying pan.
Which would be terrible; one does not like the truffle and porcini splashing on one’s floor.

@shavixmir

I've made position quite clear and have backed my words up, and won't repeat myself.
I might add, however, that facts are facts and I won't argue facts.

Oh dear. Trouble in the tepee in MAGAstan about this whole "BIGGEST MANDATE EVER" Kool-Aid...

https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2024/11/22/2287993/-Trump-clearly-feeling-insecure-over-the-size-of-his-tiny-win

Donald Trump does not appear happy that people are correctly pointing out that his narrow victory over Vice President Kamala Harris does not give him a sweeping mandate to govern.

Trump's incoming White House press secretary, Karoline Leavitt, on Friday slammed articles from The New York Times and Politico highlighting that Trump did not win in a “landslide,” as he’s asserted since Nov. 5.

"New Fake News Narrative Alert! Here are the ridiculous headlines from Politico and The New York Times this morning,” Leavitt wrote on X on Friday, posting screenshots of both articles. “The fake news is trying to minimize President Trump’s massive and historic victory to try to delegitimize his mandate before he even takes the Oath of Office again."

And his campaign fired off an email statement on Friday with the subject line “The Truth About The MAGA Mandate,” which declared, “President Trump will take office with an historic mandate for his agenda—despite the unprecedented obstacles he faced every step of the way.”

“The deck was stacked against President Trump from the very beginning—and he still won big. Voters across the country trusted President Trump to deliver on his promises, and that's exactly what he'll do,” the statement said. “It's President Trump's MAGA Mandate.”

Trump has been touting his win since Election Night.

"America has given us an unprecedented and powerful mandate," Trump said on Nov. 6.

And he wrote in a Nov. 17 post on his Truth Social platform, “What a great week this has been. Perhaps the most successful Election results in Republican Party history! MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN. Thank you!!!”

The whining about Trump’s mandate comes as multiple media outlets have correctly pointed out that, as vote tallies are being finalized, Trump’s win does not look like the landslide it did on election night.

Let’s look at the facts.

Trump’s share of the popular vote is now below 50%, meaning a majority of the country did not vote for him.

As of early Thursday, his popular-vote margin has dwindled to just 1.6% over Harris as states finalize their counts. That's the third-smallest margin since 1888, according to The New York Times, and is smaller than Democrat Hillary Clinton's margin in 2016 when she lost the Electoral College.

CNN election analyst Harry Enten also pointed out that Democrats won four Senate contests in states Trump carried—Arizona, Michigan, Nevada, and Wisconsin—meaning voters in those states chose legislators as a check on Trump’s power.

"In fact, I went all the way back to the history books, and this is the most Senate races that the winner's party lost in states the president won since 2004," Enten said.

Enten added that while Republicans won the House majority, it’s the “smallest House majority since there were 50 states."

I think this is what popcorn was invented for.

At present the Republicans appear headed toward a 3-seat majority in the House, and depending on how a couple close races turn out that could dwindle to 2 seats, or even 1. This means that, in all likelihood, the House will be paralyzed most of the time. There are still some relatively sane Republicans from moderate districts who could scuttle the entire MAGA agenda, or, if a few Republicans aren't able to show up to vote because of catching avian flu or whatever, then Democrats may have the greater number of votes. Oh well.

trump has 4 years to do immense damage. I don't think you realize just how much he can do.

More judges to the supreme court, Thomas at least can be convinced to retire, maybe even Alito. 2 more far right lunatic judges , consolidating conservative control for the next 10 years.

More judges to lower courts.
Dismantling department of education . Environment regulations come next. Healthcare. All he has to do is fire a fukton of experts in various field and replace them with his lackeys. Can't get a nationwide abortion ban passed? Well the FDA he will control in the future just has to declare abortion pills unsafe, no congress needed.

I see the claim.
I don't see the proof.
Just when did Trump suddenly get less votes than Harris?
