It's very possible that this is just one of his tantrums that winds up to be a bluff (though he'll surely claim some changed circumstances).
However, if it goes ahead and it fails to move the Iranian government's position (as is a near certainty), what then? Ground invasion? Deployment of nuclear weapons?
It is certainly worrying to have this raving nut have the power to do either.
