Pretty amusing:
"A digital ad released by a fundraising arm of the Trump campaign on Sept. 11 calling on people to “support our troops” uses a stock photo of Russian-made fighter jets and weapons.
The ad, which was made by the Trump Make America Great Again Committee, features silhouettes of three soldiers walking as a fighter jet flies over them. The ad first appeared on Sept. 8 and ran until Sept. 12.
“That’s definitely a MiG-29,” said Pierre Sprey, who helped design both the F-16 and A-10 planes for the U.S. Air Force. “I’m glad to see it’s supporting our troops.”
He noted the angle of the aircraft’s tail, the way the tail is swept far back, and the spacing of the engines, along with the tunnel between them.
Ruslan Pukhov, director of the Centre for Analysis of Strategies and Technologies in Moscow, confirmed that the planes are Russian MiG-29s, and also said the soldier on the far right in the ad carries an AK-74 assault rifle."

@mott-the-hoople saidTry to imagine Boris Johnson campaigning for the next general election, touting the British military by showing Mirage jets. Try to imagine Macron running for the next election, emphasizing France's independent nuclear deterrent by displaying images of American cruise missiles. Nope, doesn't jive.

So, why does Trump display Russian military while campaigning for the next election. Two plausible explanations:
1. Stupidity. Trump or somebody on his campaign team just googled stock military images and didn't pay attention to whose military was depicted. Lack of attention to detail has, after all, been a hallmark of Trump's presidency.
or
2. Infiltration. Trump or somebody very close to Trump is under the influence of a foreign power said foreign power just got his wish. Two high-level investigations, one by a Rep-controlled Senate committee, have established that foreign powers are meddling.
Pick one, and good luck with it.
@Duchess64
Did you actually miss what 'Trump being in Putin's pocket' means? You tell me please what you think it meant.
As for the photo of Mig19s and such, whether or not they are American made jets, it is bad optics to not even do enough research to even KNOW you are imaging a Russian jet.
They probably just looked in a book of American hardware and chose that image because they are 1, STUPID, 2 DUMB.
@athousandyoung saidJust so.
If the UK wants to inspire patriotic fervor with propaganda, they're going to show images of their fleet carrier or their nuclear subs (made in UK) not F4s.
If Trump wishes to inspire patriotic fervor, in America, he would do well not to show images of MiGs (unless, of course, he's showing off having captured one, --as Iran showed off having diverted a US cruise missile--but that was not the case here). So, when Trump's campaign does show images of MiGs, one wonders, was it just a blunder, or is he beholden to some other country?
Let's see the tax returns, before Nov 3d.
@no1marauder saidWhat a load of crappola. Are you this obtuse as to try and pass this flimsy article off as something TRUMP put together?

It says "a fundraising arm of the Trump Campaign". Doh.
Show me a quote from Donald Trump that says he supports Russian troops.
Trump has been going up against Russian troops *for real* in Ukraine, and now,,
very recently, sending troops in to Syria.
I am beginning to wonder about you level of intelligence. This is so juvenile of you
