Ask Suzianne, she is the deepest into Trump’s mind.
Trump was already posting and speaking in intoabout Iran’s nuclear ambitions, often warning that Iran should not be allowed to obtain nuclear weapons. I would assume he was formulating his plans back then. Like my router, you wondered why he didn’t do it the first day in office . My granny says these things
He made I ...[text shortened]... things that will result in global prosperity. Imagine a world without a nation sworn to terrorism.
Yes, he cancelled the deal that had international inspections of Iran's nuclear program.

Because he's an idiot.

He canceled that treaty because it had been negotiated under Obama's aegis, and Trump is determined to erase Obama's legacy.

That's too simplistic. Given how he invariably acts towards any country that doesn't bribe him or isn't run by Putin, he probably thought he could bully Iran into some more direct surrender.

He still seems to think so.

My problem is that America tuned in to hear trump explain the war effort but instead we got word vomit. America has to rely on what average Joe thinks the reasons are.
We agree I am not a happy with his speech either. If that is all your problem is, then we agree and we are on the same page. We have no problems other than than go Trump.

There is another aspect to this war of choice, which is that Trump never does anything unless it profits himself directly. He is heavily invested in fossils; the markets react to his every pronouncement in the press or social media; there is evidence of massive insider trading going on, hours before he makes such a pronouncement; he and his biliousaire buddies are making huge profits from this.

Trump effectively decriminalized it by gutting the SEC's ability to investigate and prosecute.

Insane. This maybe needs its own thread.

There's a joke about no one needing to pay taxes this year because no one works at the IRS anymore.

Trump does not view white collar crime as crime--for him, it's just business.

Trump gave a speech. Americans had been waiting for clear rationale explaining why we were at war. We didn't get that at all. The Atlantic magazine wrote an article titled "Maybe Trump Should Not Have Given This Speech"

Why? It was a garbled mess. It criticized allies. It put the onus of cleaning up the war on others who didn't want to make the mess in the first place. T ...[text shortened]... blic and the world.[/quote]
