The best equity example will always be the three students looking over a fence watching a football game. Equality says give them all the same sized box to stand on. Equity says give them different sized boxes so that all can see over the fence.
Its that basic. What they do with that equitable distribution of resources will always be up to them. But over time more and more people given equitable access will mean less and less people will need help. Does this hinder the hard worker. Absolutely not!
