@Ponderable saidThe sensible peace plans is: Russia withdraws its troops from all of Ukraine, including Crimea, pays reparations to rebuild what they destroyed, and Ukraine agrees not to join NATO, ever.
So Mr. Trump suggests that Ukraine just rolls over.
The consequence being: If Russia invades Alaska on the very lgeit reason, that the Zar was not entitled to give away Russian trerritory, the USA will jaust accept and vansih from there paying back the value, they illegally extracted from Alaska?
Putin eats crow and acquiesces in having driven Finland and Sweden straight into NATO on a fast track.
Not on Trump's watch, of course. If Trump gets back in office, Putin takes whatever he wants of Eastern Europe and Trump cashes in kickbacks from Russian oligarchs.
If it wasn't for NATO, the killing would have ended a long time ago. Nobody here can pick out the Russian from the Ukrainian and wars have been happening since the beginning of time so everyone who doesn't like it can get off their high horse of self righteousness and rub salt.
I can't wait for China to invade Taiwan so we can see the anti China rhetoric. Or will we? After all, it's easy to hate on Russia with them being white and all. I'm sure it's gonna be quiet around here when China starts kicking ass.
@Ponderable saidThe Tsar did not give it away. He offered to sell it, and he was paid. The land was ceded by treaty, ratified by both sides.

@moonbus saidI was trying to provoce; would Putin accept the Tsar's right if he would expect to be succesful in getting Alaska back?
