You want an unbeliever? Right here.

I don't just disbelieve God. I think him to be a despot, controlling hundreds of people's lives, dominating a few. So much so, they think it is their own right to push their beliefs on every-bloody-single-person around them who thinks differently.

Now tell me, why do you Christians believe in a God who is so forgiving, and all knowing, when you don't forgive others unless they do what you tell them to do? Can you answer that, without giving a quote from a book, scroll, website, or other form that isn't in your own words.

Take the American leader, George W Bush. He is a born again Christian (as some other unamed here person is), and does almost the same things. He pushed his belief on a whole country of people. Hmm.

Now, me, I'm not anti-American. I couldn't give a rat's ass what they do, as long as it doesn't really affect me in any major way. They went to war, bitch, bitch, bitch. I couldn't care less. Australian troops going to war, just because our little fat man in charge had to listen to another medium sizish man in charge? That affects me.

I know, the Christians (and probably everyone else) will bitch on about this post for a while. See if I care. Flame me, I believe that science is more important than religion! Flame me, I own a cat (which is the only domesticated animal not in the Bible, therefore I must be evil according to the stance I see on the boards)!

I am aware that majority of you on this site are Christian, or something like it. Believing in Jesus, I don't care if you do or not. As long as you are agreeable, rational, and even plain polite, I don't care.

And RBHill and Blindfaith101 (who seem to be the main pushers), not believing in Jesus is not a sin. Let people believe what they want to believe. And if it is a sin, God would forgive me, wouldn't he? So why the hell can't you guys?

Edit - Yes, I have read the Bible. I haven't learnt it of by heart, but I have read it. So don't accuse me of not knowing what I'm talking about.

I have to say, if you didn't catch this the first time, you obivously are ignorant.

Just because they shout the loudest doesn't mean they are the majority.

No, but they are the few who are obviously doing it for the hell of doing it. If they had passion, maybe they could understand other people's point of view.

I tried to read the bible but even footballers aotobiographies have stronger plot lines. I thought about going to church but with a naked woman next to me a a Sunday paper on the bedside table getting out of bed proved tricky. I don't know what God could bring me, but if my life is eternally damned then I recommend it to anyone.

because we should forgive them? i try to, although don't always succeed 🙂

and not beleiveing that Jesus is Gods son is a sin. well-that is-not loving him with all your heart, soul, mind etc. it's in the gospels-jesus is asked what the greatest commandment is, and his reply? "love the Lord your God..."

and as for him forgiving you-well, you've read more of the bible than i have. you answer that-a-one 🙂 (i've been up for 20 mins and can't be overly bothered at the moment...)

Please don't mix up God and Christians, please. Thank you.

Those Christians that push their own beliefs on others are forgetting their own story of Adam and Eve: it is humanity's presumed knowledge of good and evil that damns everyone. These people presume they know; well, they are just damning themselves further.

I disagree that science is more important than religion. Not that I'm on the side of religion, but as they are two distictly different things, they are difficult to compare. I would have to say they have equal power in their own fields. It would be amazing what we could accomplish if the two would just stick to their own areas.

I also own a cat.

Ghandi was one of the greatest men who ever lived. Any God who wouldn't allow a man like Ghandi into an eternal paradise while rewarding an ignorant buffoon like yourself is a God I want no part of.

You are the Pharisee that Jesus whipped.

You are the man with the plank in your eye.

You disgust me.

On one hand Liam Gallagher (the singer of Oasis) seems to have a higher IQ than Ghandi (164 vs 160), on the other hand it seems to me that Ghandi didn't mind a class system, didn't mind dowry payments and didn't mind the caste system with all its drawbacks and discrimination.

A peaceful protest against the English (and winning it) is one thing, I'm not so sure it makes someone one of the greatest men to have ever lived.

I agree, I'm also a firm non-believer (and I also own a cat...)
Now, to all those people out there who are trying to convert everyone around them: If God created me... isn't it his fault that I don't believe in him then? If God created everything, why is there so much crime? On the other hand, how can you hold someone responsible for a crime they commit? If he was created by God, the surely God is responsible for people's actions?
Jeez, this whole stupid religion thing is so full of contradictions and logical errors, it gives me a headache just thinking about it, apart from it also giving certain people an excuse to get on everyone else's nerves 😠

It's nice to be judged by a person such as yourself. You have strong opinions about GOD, ist that not your right. Have you refused to breath, the air HE gives you.Or that great Austrailian, sunrise or sunset, that he provides. How about that rain that gives you all those great rivers and swamps, and crops. How about that heartbeat, he gave it to you. That is not even a little, that HE has, given to you and everyone else on this planet.
You donot like or you hate HIM, thats fine. But HE provides for all your needs every moment of every day. You cannot say ther is no GOD, for you called HIM a name, so you do know about HIM.
Who ever burnt you I didnot do it, but you are venting, so it is acceptted. Noone forces you to believe in GOD. You have free choice. What you do with that free choice is up to you. Just as I use my free choice to believe in HIM through all that HE, has done in my life. Forgiveness comes from GOD,and only from GOD. No Christian is perfect, we just strive to be perfect. I want GOD to tell me what to do. HE knows the answers to all my questions. HE has provided all my needs. As well as giveing me most of my wants.
GOD has given man a road to travel on, man has chosen to travel his own. By doing that, there is a price to pay. And wheter or nor you want to you will that price. Noone has ever tried to prevent you or anyone else to believe as we believe. Or noone has tried to stop you, from believeing as you do.Only you can do that. Maybe you stop blaming Christians for your unbelief, and look into yourself. Not believing in CHRIST is a sin, it was in the Beginning, and will be in the End.
