In the referendum they had, an overwhelming majority of Irish people wanted a united and independant Ireland.

And by the rate the catholics are fornecating up North, it won't be long until they have a majority in Northern Ireland. Then it is inevitable.

politically there will be a united ireland in the next 50 years.
on the ground it will take a lot longer

Never in a million years. The reason is basic economics Northern Ireland is better off financially being part of the UK and the Republic can't afford us 😀

but surely Northern Ireland only exists through subsidies from the UK, it is a drain on the UK. If you embraced the republic your wageswould sore through the roof. earnings are much higher here than in the north.

If there were a referendum today in the U.K., they'd drop the North like a hot, costly and internationally embarrassing potato.
