Is that automatically true? Could it not simply allow for fraudulent stuffing of the ballot box? The people who are voting, how do we know they are not doing so under duress and being watched? Part of the voting process is that once you get your ballot nobody is allowed to see how you voted.
There are no safeguards to ensure the validity of the vote when votes are not cast in a secured area.
