Don't be silly. The USA has never had enough balls to be gay. Lesbian, maybe - I'm sure Tommy-girl Jefferson was - but never gay.

Look on the bright side. Catlin Jenner (Former Olympian Bruce Jenner) Is running as a Republican for Governor of California. Maybe she can make LGBTQ flags mainstream. 😀

We should see the day when a runner, like Jenner, can run with the torch *and* the gay flag, and light the Olympic flame.

if Catlin Jenner even thinks about making the gay flag be flown like this, next to the american flag, then Jenner
is a typical politician that does not give a hoot about people in general, only special people, which is more typical of the dems.

Dundee (a Scottish city) flew the Palestinian flag on their townhall in the 70’s.

Nothing wrong with showing some solidarity.

Countries who are openly anti-gay.

So, you show support for a group of people who are being discriminated against, just because they prefer something other than sex with the opposite sex.

No it’s probably to show solidarity with those LGBTQ+ who are living in countries where they csn be jailed or where the powers that be turn a blind eye to them being beaten up and murdered.
Why would you be upset about your country letting the world know where it stands on something as universal as LGBTQ+ rights or lack of them.
The USA has immense soft and hard power it’s nice to see it being put to good use occasionally.
