"Once again Knightwest was seen to peddle ridiculous scare stories"

Iran will launch nuclear missiles at Israel?????????????????

I presume these missiles will have a special device that will not kill any of the millions of muslims as well?

Of course there would be no bad consequences of such a missile launch for ...[text shortened]... weapons of their own with far better delivery systems and far better missile defence systems.

But what if Iran were to accidentally lose a nuclear bomb and it turned up in the hands of Al Qaida?

The post was in reply to:

"Once again, the world stood by and did nothing as millions of Jews were annihiliated."

I was referring to Hitler's popularity in the world, especially when knowledge of his final solution became known. i would not call him extraordinarily popular.

The post suggests the idiotic view that the world was ambivalent to Hitler's policies.

Today the IAEA reported to the U.N. that Iran is still enriching. Something the UN already knew because Iran has been open and up front with it the entire time. The report was a matter of procedure. An operation that serves no purpose except to maintain the process. Now they will talk about the report then talk about taking the next step and talk about what that next step should be. There's gonna be a lot of talkin goin on. Talk talk talk.

Less talk talk. More war war.

Merk - Do you think Israel will strike first? Just asking. It wouldn't surprise me. If Iran continues down this road, and with Iraq now occupied by American forces, the fly-zones for jets and missles is open for Israel. It's a straight shot from Israel to Iran now. With American troops smack in the middle...

That would be preferable to a U.S. strike. Not sure what kind of strike capacity Israel has though. These nuclear facilities are going to be heavily defended and if Israel has the strike capacity to take care of Iranian air defense remains to be seen. Its a long way from home for Israel. That's not really what their military is built for.

Politically, it would be risky for Bush to strike Iran. Time will tell if he cares. Though if Israel struck Iran and Iran hit American forces in Iraq all that political liability disappears. From a PR perspective it would be best for a U.S. strike to follow a shot on the militaries exposed chin.

Israel and the US will attack Iran together. There's fixing to be a new sheriff in town.

And I can't wait to see the fit the politicians are going to throw over it.

Israel has previously attacked facilities in Iran. The Israeli airforce is awesome.

It is not Israel's ability, it is wether it is counter productive. To my mind it almost certainly would be foolish. I am not the only one, ask the ex Israeli P.M.

Iran would never be stupid enough to attack US forces, it doesn't need to it just continue to arm and fund terrorists. They will fight the war they know they will win.

One might also -- though criminal and immoral -- consider flattening Teheran. Take out the pols, too.

You could add Qom to that target list also.
