Predictions are that many more layoffs are coming.
Despite the fairy tale spin by the MAGA cultists, reality is that businesses realize that protracted trade barriers will make US goods more expensive to produce here, costlier to buy, and inferior to foreign competition.
Companies can move or pay much much higher taxes. Both options are costly and bad for the US economy.
