The triumph of the corporate entity is complete - all the advantages of an ancient despot, none of the downside. Mankind has truly achieved perfection. "Look on my works, ye Mighty, and despair!"

You're being ridiculously melodramatic.

Until the 1970s there were essentially no limits on corporate contributions and the "republic" did just fine, thank you.

Yesterday was also not the first time the Supreme Court ruled that corporations were entitled to protection of the freedom of speech, incidentally.

Not only that, air america has gone bankrupt due to lack of support. Its almost as bad as the global warming causing earthquakes in Haiti. All I can say is, the end is almost here!!!

Madison predicted a Communist revolution it seems to me - he called it an "Agrarian Movement".

You don't know what I'm talking about.

Read his letter to Jefferson.

When he talks about the Agrarian Reform he isn't predicting he is cautioning.

OK.

You must mean this:

That's a lot of reading, but ok.

No, no. It's this one: http://www.familytales.org/dbDisplay.php?id=ltr_mad1697

"The stock-jobbers will become the pretorian band of the Government, at once its tool and its tyrant; bribed by its largesses, and overawing it by clamours and combinations. "

Just keep in mind that there were no corporations at Madison's time but the old fool correctly predicted what would happen just for looking at the "daring depravity" of his time.

Now the same people that a month ago were wailing and bawling about bailouts and handouts are telling us there is nothing to worry about. Doesn't surprise me. I know their meat will cook on a spit as well as mine. As I explained to a friend today: things won't change when you and I are in the street fighting over rat meat - they will change when CEOs are in the street fighting over rat meat - of course, you and I will be rats then.
