50.8 percent of voters chose Biden. This means the other half that thinks the Jan 6th mob are "political prisoners" rather than just rioters are Trump supporters. So that stat doesn't mean much.
What constitutes a "political prisoner"?
Technically, anyone arrested for political activism can be a political prisoner. But that term carries a connotation of someone fighting for just causes; those considered to be on the "wrong side" of a political issue are simply criminals.
If we look at it objectively, no opinions involved, the Jan 6th rioters don't seem to meet what's commonly understood as "political prisoners". Trump's claims failed in 60 courts, including SCOTUS, where two thirds of the justices are conservative and half of those conservatives were personally chosen by him. Trump's own DOJ said this was the "most secure election in history", and Trump's handpicked AG said there was "no evidence of widespread voter fraud".
Combined with extensive records of false statements by Trump, like fact checkers reporting 30,000 of them during his term in office, multiple "lie of the year" nominations or Trump's own admission that he lied about the severity of the pandemic, there was no reason for anyone in the mob to believe Trump's claims of a stolen election, and their rioters had no shred of justification for their actions.
Thus, the term "political prisoners" in the sense it's typically used doesn't apply to the Jan 6th rioters.
@metal-brain saidLet us hope not.

Yes. The US tortures all sorts of prisoners.
They’ve even created a third catagory (besides POW’s and criminals): enemy combatants. Basically treating criminals like POW’s.
And they have rendition flights which fly through undesignated countries, where the prisoners are sometimes killed or end up places like Guotanamo bay.
It’s not really a secret they’re up to this.
There’s movies about it, about the CIA cover-ups, etc.
For example: The Report

Is Solitary Confinement torture?
@kevcvs57 said"Alone time" ends at your choosing. Solitary conferment doesn't. This isn't like being in bed all day with the TV on.

Solitary confinement can have terrible mental effects on people; this can start after only a few days; in some cases, people have been exposed to it for years. Torture doesn't have to always be physical pain.
Here's an article from the Guardian on the topic:

@suzianne saidNot necessarily. The amount of wrongful and spurious convictions in the USA is deplorably high. Not in the case of the Capitol looters, of course, but in general.
You're in jail for breaking the law, fools,
@suzianne saidbreaking what law?
Yeah, a bunch of rednecks unable to drink beer in prison think they're "political prisoners".
You're in jail for breaking the law, fools, and your leader doesn't give one tiny little damn about any of you.
