Trump says he will impose immigration ban in bid to tackle coronavirus.

Donald Trump is guilty of xenophobic scapegoating of asians, liberals, doctors, blue states, immigrants and front line healthcare workers who complain about lack of protective equipment in a pathetic attempt to cover up his own incompetence. Trump trivialized this virus from the start, calling it a "hoax" in addition to contradicting himself saying he has "total control" just days after saying "it's the responsibility of the Governors"

An immigration ban is of absolutely no value; since the virus is now more severe in America than it is in the rest of the world, if anything the other countries should be banning Americans, since they now pose greater health risk to the rest of the world.

Donald Trump always needs someone to vilify. Last week it was the liberals, this week the asians, next week, who knows - maybe he'll be attacking the media again. Trump's fumbling mismanagement and incompetence is on display for all to see.

Of course this will do almost nothing to mitigate the effects of Covid-19, but it might rile up Trump's xenophobic base. Trump wants the focus of the campaign to be on immigration, and Trump's stance on immigration is popular among the huge drooling retard voting bloc.

For the record, the Looney Left wants Americans not to work or even be able to leave their house but wants as many immigrants to come to the US as possible.

I think it has been well established that immigration has lit up certain parts of the US like New York, Detroit, New Orleans, etc.

Still haven't figured out the difference between immigration and visiting, have you?

Why would there be no value? If it helps limit the spread of Covid, isn't it worth it? After all, as you pointed out, the US has both the highest number of confirmed cases and deaths.

To me this seems like a case of being right for the wrong reasons. Clearly Trump is more motivated by xenophobia than concern for human life, since he keeps talking about reopening businesses even though the virus is accelerating in places like Michigan. But if Trump accidentally does the right thing while being scumbag, that's the best we can hope for from this president.

<smiles> Ever look at the hot spots in America? They are mostly sanctuary cities LOL

I'm looking at New York, Boston, Detroit and others. Let the illegals in but lock up the hard working citizens!

Only in 'Merica!

It is indeed extremely super duper surprising that a pandemic is more likely to spread to sprawling metropolises than to uncle Scooter's trailer at a dead end in the Appalachian mountains. Only illegal immigration could possibly explain this.

About 1.8 million people immigrate to the U.S. each year, or roughly 84,000 a month. Are you proposing ALL immigrants be tested? If you are, *that* is absurd.

Keep in mind that a ban should only be temporary, until the threat of the pandemic passes.

Maybe the US should slow down the immigration to make it more manageable.

Uncontrolled immigration is a public health hazard.

Yes, those visiting have Covid but immigrants don't.

Is that the answer you were looking for?

LOL.

That figure only shows people who were lawfully accepted as citizens and doesn't include the those still waiting to be citizens. The total number if people immigrating is much higher.
